How do I book a charter?
The easiest way is to call us directly at (228) 341-0777. A $200 deposit locks in your date, and it's fully refundable if the trip is cancelled due to weather.
What happens if the weather's bad?
Your safety comes first. If the captain has to cancel for weather on the day of your trip, your $200 deposit is fully refundable — no hassle.
What's included in the trip?
We provide bait, tackle, ice, and your fishing license. There are ice chests and a full-size refrigerator aboard, and our first mate will clean, bag, and pack your catch for the trip home.
What should I bring?
A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a small cooler for the fish you take home. Bring snacks and drinks for your group if you like — we've got the fridge and free ice to keep everything cold.
Do you clean our catch?
Yes. Our first mate is happy to clean, bag, and pack your fish so it's ready to travel. He works hard to make your trip great — a tip for the mate is always appreciated.
Do I need any fishing experience?
Not at all. Plenty of our guests are stepping aboard for their very first deep sea trip. Our captains and mate will show you exactly how to work the gear and land your fish — no experience necessary.
What kind of fish will we catch?
Depending on the season and trip, you might reel in red snapper, redfish (red drum), Spanish and king mackerel, black tip shark, and more. Ask us what's biting when you call.
When is red snapper season?
Gulf red snapper seasons are set each year by state and federal regulators and can shift, so give us a call and we'll tell you exactly what's open for your dates and how to target them.
How many people can come?
The Amberjack is licensed and rigged for up to 6 passengers — perfect for families, friend groups, and small corporate outings.
How long are the trips?
We offer 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12-hour charters, plus sunset cruises. Half-days are great for families and first-timers; the longer trips head offshore to the wrecks and deeper structure.
Where do you leave from?
We're based at the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor (679 Beach Blvd, Slip B28), just off Highway 90 near historic downtown Biloxi. Throughout the summer you'll also find us at the Palace Casino Resort. We'll confirm your exact meeting spot when you book.
Is the boat comfortable for kids and non-fishers?
Absolutely. The Amberjack has a cold air-conditioned cabin, a clean restroom with a shower, and comfortable seating. Kids love it, and even folks who'd rather relax than fish have a great day aboard.
